The Practice
Learn to create powerful, intentional sound healing journeys that shift energy, open hearts, and awaken deep states of presence — whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner ready to expand your craft, and using a diversity of instruments available for you in Ashtari.
Our journey unfolds over 3 days, 3 hours per day (11am–2pm), Tuesday to Thursday.
You can book the training individually or in a small group (max 4 participants). Please note that the training is not exclusive—other participants may join if there is additional interest.
You have the option to receive additional support by co-facilitating with Free, your teacher, a Yin Soundbath session after the training finishes, giving you the chance to practice and anchor your skills hands-on with a larger group.

This training welcomes both complete beginners and seasoned practitioners.
If you feel the call, you are ready. I will meet you where you are with all my knowledge and expertise at your disposition— whether your intention is to weave sound into your current offerings: Yoga sessions, live music, meditations, ceremonies and even massage, or to even begin a new path as a sound healing practitioner.

Modules
- Theory of Sound – The science, physics, history, and evolution of sound healing
- Delivering a Session – Crafting safe, profound, and cohesive experiences for individuals or groups
- Voice, Mind, and Soul – Awakening your voice and presence as healing instruments
- The Elements as Archetypes – Guiding and shaping the flow of your sessions based on the elements of nature
- Instruments in Practice – Hands-on learning with primarily metal bowls, crystal bowls, rattles, chimes, and more

Location
Ashtari Yoga Shala — a sanctuary surrounded by nature, trees, and the ocean breeze. This private yet open space holds the perfect energy for sound exploration and healing.

- 3 days (Tuesday–Thursday, 11am–2pm) If other days suit you better, please reach out to agree on that.
- Group Size: From 1, to maximum 4 participants — intimate and hands-on.

- Course days are available Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun. Requests for alternative days can accepted based on availability.
- Cancellation Policy:
- More than 72 hrs before start: full refund or reschedule (minus transfer fees)
- Less than 72 hrs before start: 75% of deposit refunded, remainder kept as admin fee or credit valid for 6 months.
- Balance: due before training materials are provided or course begins.

Hi I’m Free Lopez
From 13 years in an extreme metal band to chanting sacred mantras and creating meditative soundscapes, Free’s life has been shaped by vibration in both its rawest and most refined forms. His journey spans from live improvisations and performances to volunteering with Sound Therapy in clinics with Fibromyalgia patients, and supporting recovery in rehab centers in Costa Rica. These experiences have given him not only skill, but a profound understanding of sound as a force that shapes life, eases pain, and builds community.
Free brings this lived experience, boundless curiosity, and deep love for sound to guide others in stepping confidently into their own path as sound healing practitioners.
Whether in group trainings or one-on-one work, his sessions carry unforgettable depth and a commitment to helping others remember the power they hold to reshape reality through the craft of sound.

Sound Healing
An ancient practice found in cultures across the world, from Egyptian temples to shamanic rituals. It uses vibration—through voice, instruments, or nature’s sounds—to restore balance, ease tension, and open pathways to insight and expanded awareness.
Sound Alchemy
Free’s signature approach, where sound is not only heard but embodied as transformation. Here, the practitioner becomes the first instrument—rooted in presence, intention, and deep observation. Each session is tailored by reading the client: their walk, voice, and behavior reveal elemental imbalances. Drawing from the archetypes of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, the result is a journey that is both intuitive and precisely attuned to the person in front of you.
Free’s Teaching Philosophy
Free teaches as he is—honest, light, deep, practical, wise, and passionate.
His intention is not for you to rely solely on instruments, but to become the instrument: a channel of universal force who can use anything at hand—voice, body, or silence—to create a sound journey.
He teaches resourcefulness, honesty, creativity, and dedication, so your sound work flows from who you are and what you have integrated from the learning, not just what you play.
